When used in the morning, it visibly revitalises tired-feeling eyes, helping you feel awakened and ready to face the day. When used in the evening, it gently removes final traces of eye make up, while soothing and hydrating the delicate eye area.
This light, non-oily herbal formula is powered by eyebright extract – renowned for its soothing properties - as well as cooling cornflower, hydrating aloe vera and toning witch hazel.

ALOE VERA
(Aloe barbadensis)
Featuring formidable hydrating, soothing and cooling properties, our aloe vera is harvested in the morning to maximise the amount of juice the sword-shaped fronds yield, before being freeze-dried to create a powder.
CORNFLOWER EXTRACT
(Centaurea cyanus)
Used for its soothing and cooling properties, we source our cornflower from Europe, where we extract our ingredient from the rich blue flowers of the plant.
EYEBRIGHT EXTRACT
(Euphrasia officinalis)
Legendary for its soothing and refreshing properties, and rich in tannins, flavonoids and glycosides, our eyebright is harvested in Bulgaria, where the aerial parts of the plant are macerated in water for 7 days to create our extract.
WITCH HAZEL WATER
(Hamamelis virginiana)
Legendary for its soothing and toning properties, witch hazel is native to the eastern coast of North America, and our witch hazel water is distilled from the chopped, macerated leaves of the flowering shrub.

Amazing for tired eyes

I’ve been using eyebright since its introduction and can honestly say it is an essential product in my eye arsenal.
I have very sensitive eyes that get irritated easily, get itchy red and puffy. A few minutes in the morning of my eyebright soaked pad on each eye sets me up for the day. Cooling refreshing smells lovely and leaves my eyes ready for the best superskin eye cream I’m one of those customers who was so happy the original formula was reinstated after the ‘blip’ and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Great soothing eye lotion
After washing my face I add a few drops to a cotton wool pad and gently apply it to my delicate skin around my eyes, I find it makes my skin appear more cleansed and refreshed.

Can’t be without this!
Eyebright is my hero product, I regularly suffer irritated eyes. Causes vary from pollen to animal allergies, dust and occasionally some eye makeups can irritate me.Eyebright is amazing for reducing the heat and itch that arises especially if kept in the fridge. My husband pinches it too when his eyes are affected by hayfever and my daughter pinches it to remove her eye makeup. It’s a staple product in my house.

Soothing yet refreshing
I have used this eye lotion for years.
It smells delightful and feels cooling on the skin around the eyes and particularly beneficial if I have had a poor night's sleep. Its a lovely product and I would certainly recommend it.

This has burnt my under eyes what do I do??
Perhaps your skin is sensitive to one of the ingredients. I haven’t used this product recently as need to order more though I don’t love it as much as I used to - has something changed?

The skin around my eyes is quite red, possibly due to bay fever, when I used Eyebright it stung, not badly but enough not to be relaxing, should I continue using it?
I wouldn't use Eyebright on your eyes if it stung. I had a similar problem and used my Eyebright up as a facial toner.

My skin under my eyes is red and sore and i have sensitive patches on my skin i need help, will this and any moisturiser help me with my problem? Is there any product you can recommend
Eyebright will sooth your eyes, revitalise tired eyes and is wonderful in hayfever season, keep your bottle in the fridge for a cooling refreshing feel to your eyes.
It sounds as though you need a moisturiser that is calming , soothing and hydrates , I would suggest trying skin repair rich cream which offers 72 hours of hydration, locking in moisture, deeply hydrates restoring balance to your skin . Your skin will feel soothed,comforted and will glow with natural radiance. For an extra boost of hydration try adding a few drops of Calming Botanical Drops to your moisturiser for soothing and hydrating, skin will feel calm, soothed and look plumped and replenished. Your skin will thank you for it. Keep it simple and easy, that's what Liz Earle products are all about !!

Hello, I got this as part of a gift set and wondered if applying my usual eye cream after using it would be ok or would this be considered a replacement for that?

You would absolutely apply your eye cream after like normal.
I mostly use Eyebright every morning as soon as I wake up to soothe my tired puffy eyes, I absolutely love it and would never be without it now.

Hi, would this product remove waterproof mascara pls?

Whilst our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser does remove light eye makeup, it has not been tested to remove waterproof makeup. You may find that using our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser as a compress first helps to remove the initial traces of make-up and then you follow with a thorough application of our Cleanse & Polish.

We can only confirm that our products are only suitable for vegetarian, where in some formulations we have harnessed the naturally active properties of beeswax, propolis and Manuka honey which are harvested as by-products from the honey industry. I understand that the packaging has changed, the content surely can’t be the same formula though? I have purchased one full size and two of the smaller size in the new packaging and the product now has no odour. Prior it smelt beautiful

When we changed the packaging of our Eyebright Soothing Eye Cleanser, we also made the decision to move to a more plant-based formulation. However, the naturally active ingredients within the product remain unchanged and are included at the same levels.
Our Eyebright is unfragranced and always has been however, any aromas you get will be the naturally active ingredients.

Why has the colour of the plastic changed on the eyebright bottle? I wear glasses and I cannot differentiate between the toner and eyebright without them. If only it had been left the original colour and I much preferred the old dispensing bottle.

The new bottles are the same size as the old, so contain just as much of your trusted formulas, only with a new look!
