Oily Skin

Changes in hormone levels, during puberty or at any stage in life, can trigger the sebaceous glands in the skin to produce increased levels of sebum, which gives rise to an oilier complexion and can provide the perfect environment for pimples to thrive. Oilier skins, with larger pore sizes, can also be genetic, with certain ethnicities naturally prone to an oilier skin texture. While increased levels of oil in the skin may help to keep it looking youthful, it may also mean you are more likely to suffer from blemishes and breakouts.
