Christmas is typically a time when we love to bring the outdoors in. From a towering Nordic fir by the fireplace, to the glossy evergreen wreaths that seem to adorn all the smartest front doors, natural botanicals are an intrinsic part of our festive traditions. But in recent times their eco credentials have been called into question, and rightly so. It’s an inconvenient truth that Christmas creates an awful lot of waste, and not all of it recyclable. Especially when natural materials end up being mixed with other, less eco-friendly materials like plastics and glue.
