James Wong’s best botanicals for winter wellness

As an unashamed botany geek, and resident Ethnobotanist at Liz Earle, exploring the wellbeing benefits of plants is what gets me out of bed in the morning. This time of year, perhaps more than any other, it’s especially important to include as much fresh, colourful, antioxidant and phytonutrient-rich fruit and vegetables in our diets as possible to help defend against the onslaught of seasonal bugs (basically the concept behind my latest book 10-a-day the easy way). But plant ingredients can have an equally beneficial effect for our skin and hair too, especially as the colder months loom large on the horizon.
