Discontinued products

Lucy, our Product Manager, explains why we will sometimes discontinue a product. Saying goodbye is always hard, so when we make the decision to discontinue a product, it’s never taken lightly. Just like you, we have a lot of love for the products we create, so all of us here understand just how disappointing it can be when favourites such as our mascara and Botanical Candles are discontinued. There are several reasons why we sometimes have to say goodbye to a product:

Performance and popularity

Performance and popularity

Your feedback is hugely important to us, so when something isn’t right with a product, we take it seriously. Sometimes it’s just a case of heading back to the lab to tweak a formulation, but when that isn’t possible, or when products simply aren’t as popular as we’d have hoped, the difficult decision to discontinue may have to be made.

Formulation updates

On occasion, legislative changes can mean we have to stop using certain ingredients in our products. While our team of experts do their utmost to update a formulation to meet these new requirements, it can sometimes mean the product quality is affected. We only want to give you the very best, so when a revised formula can’t match up to our original, despite our best efforts, we will choose to retire the product rather than settle for less.

Looking to the future

The upside of discontinuation is that it makes way for the new! Our team are always working on the next exciting innovation and they’re often even better than what came before. For example, if you’re missing some of our old bodycare products, why not try our Skin Replenishing Body Balm? This is already one of my absolute favourite products and smells amazing!
