We’re looking for an IT Service Desk Lead, to lead the Service Desk team in continuing to provide first class IT services, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded. You will ensure the team are meeting their development and performance targets and ensure company policies and procedures are followed. This will be carried out whilst demonstrating the precious recipe through the overall approach to the role and other people both within and outside the company. So, what is this role all about?

You will be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the Service Desk team and when required, resolving incidents and service requests raised in the helpdesk. When necessary triage tickets and requests to the relevant IT groups, whilst gathering information, investigating and assisting with root cause analysis in order to provide workarounds and solutions to repeat incidents/problems. You will provide leadership and first line management to the Service Desk team including 1-2-1’s, coaching and running meetings. 
 

And, who are we looking for?

You should either hold an IT qualification (such as ITIL Service Delivery Qualification) or relevant experience in an IT Services environment. Be customer focused with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to co-ordinate effectively with all areas of the business. Be a champion within the team and take personal accountability for the teams’ success, whilst establishing targets to drive performance in alignment with the team and company objectives and strategy. Have the ability to motivate the team and demonstrate a high degree of initiative in the approach to considering problems and opportunities across a wide range of business issues and functions.
