As a Payroll & Benefits Processor you will be working within an internal payroll team, responsible for the monthly preparation of payroll submission across UK, ROI, Jersey and Isle of Man. You will be focussed on the provision of confidential, trustworthy and professional administrative support related to our People & Development procedures, specialising in payroll, employee information and reward and benefits.

Main Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include building the payroll submission and preparing the correct format of submission to outsource payroll by the monthly deadline. This includes compiling reports as well as handling payroll queries. Additionally, the role will involve other general payroll and HR administration duties, such as processing new starters and changes to terms and conditions and personal details, producing letters and liaising with various departments internally to obtain and co-ordinate receipt of relevant payroll and personnel data. As a Payroll & Benefits Processor your responsibilities will also include handling benefit related queries and assisting with the administration of associated schemes such as childcare vouchers, eye care vouchers and travel season tickets. Furthermore, the role involves assisting with absence management reporting and monitoring sickness to ensure monthly data is capture by payroll deadline. The role will also at times involve assisting with processing and capturing relevant maternity and paternity leave requests and all associated administration.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful for the role, you will have previous experience in a similar Payroll & Benefits Processor role. You will have the utmost attention to detail along with experience working with confidential and critical data in an organised process driven manner. You will have the technical expertise on payroll to be able to confidently handle employee queries relating to pay, statutory deductions and benefits. Working within a highly manual environment going through a payroll migration project, you will be adaptable and flexible in your approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritising your workload to meet the deadlines. Your resilience, tenacity and positive attitude will ensure each month our payroll is accurate and on time with minimal fuss. You will enjoy fast pace, be a great team worker and used to taking ownership and accountability for your workload. You will have excellent communication skills including the ability to educate and push back on senior stakeholders when required.
