Working closely with other members of the IT Support team, you will provide a fast, efficient, friendly and first class service to the business, supporting all our IT systems and applications. This includes fulfilling service requests, resolving incidents, trouble-shooting problems as well as routine operational tasks.

Job description

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide a superb level of service to the business.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to office based and remote users via telephone of VPN connections.
  • Provide out of hours support on a shared, flexible rota basis with other team members.
  • Take ownership of all received requests through to resolution, where necessary passing problems to 2nd or 3rd line teams.
  • Log and maintain requests and incidents in the helpdesk system.
  • Assist with problem analysis of service incidents.
  • Work within tight schedules and deadlines.

Experience and skills

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:

  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7.
    • Knowledge of MS Office 2007/2010.
    • LAN/WAN Networking (including good understanding of TCP/IP).
    • Wireless Networking.
    • Windows Server 2003/2008.
    • Apple MAC OS and integration with a Windows environment.
