With the continued success and growth of our business, we are now looking for a field based People and Development Business Partner (HR Business Partner) on a maternity cover basis to the Southern Region. As a HR BP to our retail division, your role will be to provide efficient HR service covering approximately 87 sites within this region, business partnering with Area Managers and providing professional HR advise to employees across stores. Geographically the area will cover 3rd party retail from Essex and Hertfordshire to Kent, the South Coast including Cornwall and further up the M4 corridor to Bristol and Cardiff. You will additionally look after our Leeds Direct store.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Employee relations issues (circa 35%-40%)
  • Learning and development including delivery of workshops, training and developing people skills (circa 35-50%)
  • Recruitment (circa 10-15%)

Who are we looking for?

You will be comfortable with extensive travel including regular overnight stays. Ideally you will be based centrally within this region with an easy access to main transport links. You will be CIPD qualified to level 5 or above. You will have previous experience as a HR Business Partner working closely with key stakeholder to ensure efficient running of the region whilst building capability on the field. Retail or cosmetics background would be ideal but not essential, however, you must come from a multisite management background and have previous experience working field based. You will have a firm but diplomatic approach and excellent relationships building skills. Your ability to influence and manage a wide range of stakeholders is essential. You will be an expert in holding difficult conversations and have the experience and ability to deal with complex ER related issue. Your HR approach will be proactive and business led whilst also adapting a coaching style and agenda.
