As HR Administrator you will be responsible for providing a professional and timely administrative support to the Liz Earle HR Department including business critical reporting. You will be utilising Excel extensively to report on monthly KPI’s, headcount, absence and compliance providing a crucial business insight to a wide range of senior stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include owning the maternity leave process inclusive of all communication with employees and managers to ensure process is followed, recorded and necessary paperwork is completed and forwarded to payroll for processing. Additionally, you will act as the main point of contact for reporting needs for the department. This includes extracting and manipulating data in Excel as well as communicating with senior stakeholders across the business. You will be providing a professional administrative service to our HR Business Partners and Officer ensuring appropriate correspondence is actioned and company wide communications are sent out as directed.

You will need to offer a friendly HR service answering basic HR queries, escalating more complex queries as required and ensuring a paper trail of conversations is maintained. Through keen eye for detail you will ensure due diligence across employee files (soft and hard copy) including safe storage of appraisal, probationary and contract and offer paperwork. This includes logging receipt and regular audits to ensure 100% compliance. Additionally, you will maintain a flexible approach to your day to day ensuring the department remains responsive to the needs of the business.

Who are we looking for?

The suitable candidate will have good command of English and Maths and a minimum level 2 qualification. Strong Excel skills will be essential with an ability to manipulate data to meet reporting requirements including using pivot tables. Previous experience in a similar administrative position is essential ideally within HR environment. It is also essential that the suitable candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse and interpret data and communicate this in a clear and concise manner will also be required. An understanding of the importance of utmost confidentiality and attention to detail will be paramount as the role involves dealing with sensitive and legally binding data.
